White Pelicans

Impossibly still
they sail in long lines
or soar on high

Sunrise or sunset are my favorite times to glimpse these beauties. The brilliant white of their wings and bellies catching the sun’s golden rays is the show stopper, particularly against a deep blue or darkening sky.

There is so much beauty in the world. Stop. Look. Breathe. Breathe again.
